To my dear friends, sorry for lacking on the music front here these past weeks. I blame it on work, vacation, and simply not having any internet connection in large parts of the Yukon and Alaska.
To my dear islanders, born or chosen, what is going on up there? First, I came across the wonders that are Pete & Bas, and some spin-offs, like The Northern Boys. And that all seemed fun and great and like a nice, tongue-in-cheek sorta change of pace.
But now, I have stumbled upon Ireland’s latest musical export: Rhyme Island. And I’ve got to say, that their song “The Spark” goes pretty darn hard! Some might say it goes harder than it has any right to, considering it’s a bunch of kids. Either way, it slays – the lyrics, the video, the beats.. the energy overall.
