I don’t know about you, but I am pretty sure I can see the weekend up there on the horizon…
Seeing how this is a week of new beginnings (for some of us at least – Cory and me are freshly moved), I thought I’d share an album from spoken word poet turned quasi-HipHop recording artist, Kae Tempest. (London-local, so perhaps you are familiar)
Their 2016 work “Let Them Eat Chaos” is a concept album that focuses around different people living individual lives on the same street, but crossing paths after a storm hits, forcing them to leave their homes at the same time.
I’d argue that the lyrics warrant more than a background listen – can even be interesting to read along to, as a friend who lent me a bound copy of them showed me.
Either way, hope you enjoy and have a lovely weekend! 🙂
