Today, we hop back to the heights of the covid pandemic, when in the August of 2020 the Killers released their seventh studio album, which a Pitchfork review lovingly described with the following words: “As tacky and bombastic as a Fourth of July celebration, Imploding the Mirage has more bangers than a Killers album should 16 years after their debut[…].“
“Imploding the Mirage” just sounds better and better with each listen, because the arena rock anthems just are fun to quasi shout-along to, if you ask me. Since the band is probably one of the most well-known Rock acts of the past decade or two, I’ll save the additional story on the band and just leave this here for you:
