The weekend has arrived – huzzah!
And while I don’t know what every one of you is doing, I do know what Owen is going to be up to! So, in hopes of him not suing me for GDPR, here goes this week’s music closer, based on Owen’s concert-going tomorrow:
Back in 2006, a Sheffield band emerged from what for the past year was just a word-of-mouth tip and took the world by storm with their album “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not”, which became an instant success. A year later, the Arctic Monkeys would be playing to thousands of fans at Glastonbury’s main stage: Here’s When The Sun Goes Down & Brianstorm from that performance.
And as if that is not enough, Owen gets to enjoy The Hives Opening up for them, who originate from Sweden and first broke through internationally back in 2000. From 2001’s “Tyrannosaurus Hives”, one of my favorites of theirs: Love in Plaster
Enjoy the weekend, everyone
